Our Golden Ticket competition saw promotional chocolate bars handed out to customers booking their next overseas holiday from 1st October until the winner was found on 11th November – with one chocolate bar containing the winning Golden Ticket. It was the lucky Bullock family who discovered the winning ticket when they visited Co-operative Travel in Wednesfield to book their holiday to Florida next year.
Samuel, Rachael and seven-year-old Thomas Bullock, and niece Skye Yates, have won a three-night trip to Lapland courtesy of Thomas Cook. The family will be jetting off on their magical adventure from Manchester on 12th December, to enjoy three nights bed and breakfast at the 3* Levi Panorama hotel.
Upon arrival in Lapland, they’ll get wrapped up warm in thermal suits and boots with plenty of time for exploring the Lappish town of Levi which is easily accessible from the hotel via cable car. The next day, they’ll dash through the snow on a sleigh pulled by Santa’s reindeer before boarding a sledge pulled by huskies – and experiencing the traditional tale of the Ceremony of Crossing the Arctic Circle.
On their final day in Lapland, the family will spend time in Santa’s Village, and even meet the man himself – who has a gift for every child! Thomas and Skye will have the chance to send a letter from Santa’s Post Office and sample some seriously good hot chocolate before enjoying a festive feast at the ultimate Christmas party!
Speaking after finding the Golden Ticket, Samuel Bullock said, “We are absolutely over the moon. We have had some tough Christmases recently – not least a couple of years ago when our house was all but destroyed by a fire. This trip will be just magical for our children and, as a family, we can’t wait to make some really lovely Christmas memories.”
Ben Lovett, Branch Manager at our Co-operative Travel branch in Wednesfield said, “Christmas is always a magical time of the year and our winners were thrilled when they found out they had won this trip. Everyone in the branch is very excited and wishing them a wonderful time when they jet off to Lapland next month.”
“This promotion is our way of giving something back to our customers in the community, and we’re looking forward to more competitions in the future.”
