Family holiday bookings made in Co-operative Travel branches from the end of December 2015 were given a scrapbook to complete, which included lots of fun activities and pages for children to write about what they did on their holiday. The scrapbook also highlighted tips from the Travel Foundation on what holidaymakers can do to help the local community and environment in their chosen holiday destination.
Four year old Charlotte, whose parent’s booked a Baltic cruise with Princess Cruises for their summer holiday, wowed the team at Co-operative Travel with detailed accounts of her families’ adventures. Charlotte added photographs from their Baltic Cruise – which included stops in Copenhagen and Denmark – and created notelets for writing about different aspects of their holiday.
Charlotte wrote about the local environment at the various ports that she visited on the cruise with her parents earlier in the year – even detailing the different types of wild flowers they came across. More impressive still was Charlotte’s explanation of Princess Cruises commitment to being an eco-friendly cruise line. ‘Planet Princess’ is the line’s internal programme that helps ensure crew members ‘protect, conserve and recycle’ to help preserve the natural resources in the places we love to visit.
Owing to her creativity, Charlotte, whose parents booked their cruise at the Co-operative Travel branch in Walsall, has won a 4 night UK break courtesy of Hoseasons. The family will be enjoying four nights at the Woodland Park Lodges on the Shropshire-Wales border. Surrounded by magical woodlands, this park is from Hoseasons’ Wander Wood collection – which is all about getting outdoors to discover local wildlife and precious environments, which Charlotte and her family are bound to enjoy exploring!
