Co-operative Travel’s Ryan McVinnie is flying high after being crowned the winning agent in a recent mystery shop! Industry publication ‘Travel Weekly’ conducts regular mystery shopper phone calls to travel agents throughout the UK, and call centre agent Ryan picked up the call to Co-operative Travel earlier this month.
Ryan, who has worked in travel for twelve years and spent four of those at Co-operative Travel, was quizzed on options for a fourteen night tour of India for two people to include stops in Delhi and Jaipur with a budget of £6,000.
Ryan was described by the mystery shopper as ‘friendly’, he ‘gave excellent service’ and asked a lot of great questions to gain an insight into what kind of holiday the customer was looking for. Owing to his extensive experience in the travel industry, Ryan was able to offer the mystery shopper ‘three very strong and detailed options’ including an eighteen day Grand Tour of India package which came in well under budget, at £2099 per person. The tour included visits to a whopping nine Indian cities as well as a stay on a houseboat!
Ryan said he was ‘chuffed to be a winning agent’ and aims to always give ‘the best possible service’. He’s passionate about working for an independent travel agent which allows him to ‘tailor holidays to different people’.
Well done to Ryan from all the team at Co-operative Travel!
